Email validation API for signup forms

Stop fake, duplicate and throwaway signups with one API call.

Send the email a user typed into your signup form. Signitize answers with the canonical inbox to catch duplicate accounts, whether the domain is a disposable (temporary) email provider, and whether the address can receive mail at all.

Three signup problems, three fields

email

One account per inbox

Every spelling of the same inbox returns the same canonical address. Store it in a unique column and aliases can no longer open extra accounts.

disposable

No throwaway signups

Temporary and throwaway mail domains are flagged, including new ones detected from their DNS setup, so nobody farms your free tier.

[email protected]"disposable": true
deliverable

No mistyped or made-up addresses

Addresses that can never receive mail are caught: domains that do not exist or accept no mail, and usernames the provider never allows.

[email protected]"deliverable": false

How it works

1

Call it from your backend

One POST before you create the account. Known providers and known throwaway domains are answered without a DNS lookup.

2

Reject or continue

Reject throwaway and undeliverable addresses with a clear message. Check email against your users table for duplicates and bans.

3

Verify as usual

Send your verification email to the address the user typed. If the API is unreachable, fail open.
